To security matters, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies for the successful operation in Kogi State that eliminated notorious bandit kingpin Ibrahim Bastuji, describing it as a major blow to criminal networks.
He says Bastuji’s neutralisation would restore confidence and bring relief to communities affected by violence, kidnapping and attacks.
The President also commended troops for rescuing Hajiya Amina Rabe Abubakar, widow of former Chief of Defence Information, General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd), calling it a demonstration of professionalism and courage.
He reaffirms his administration’s commitment to supporting security forces with resources and training, while urging citizens to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely information.
