The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment has disowned claims of a partnership with an organisation identified as National Reading Culture (NRC) Ltd regarding a purported employment or recruitment exercise being circulated on social media and other online platforms.
In a statement, the Ministry's Head of Press and Public Relations, Annah Daniel, clarified that the Ministry neither authorised, endorsed, nor participated in the publication of the alleged recruitment opportunity.
She described the claims as false, misleading, and part of a fraudulent scheme aimed at deceiving unsuspecting members of the public.
The Ministry advised Nigerians not to apply for the advertised positions, make any payments, or disclose personal or financial information in response to the fake recruitment advertisements or messages.
It urged the public to rely solely on the Ministry's official communication channels for information on employment initiatives and other government programmes.
The Ministry also appealed to anyone with useful information about those behind the scam to report them to the appropriate law enforcement and cybersecurity agencies for investigation and necessary action.
