The federal government has announced plans to evacuate 271 of its nationals from South Africa, beginning today.
A statement by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa, confirmed that an Air Peace flight will depart Nigeria at 3:00pm and is expected to arrive in South Africa by 9:00pm local time.
The return flight is scheduled to depart South Africa at 12:00am midnight and will arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Tuesday morning.
